Netball fans have not hesitated to hand over their cash for world championships finals tickets.
Organisers have opted to sell tickets for the final, where New Zealand are expected to play Australia, as part of a $500 three-day package which includes quarterfinals and semifinals as well as playoffs for third through to 16th place.
While fans quoted in a Sunday newspaper yesterday described the price tag as a "phenomenal amount" it appears others have been less concerned.
The first release of finals tickets sold out within hours when they were released in June. The handful of remaining tickets are the ones returned by the teams.
Tickets for the first night of competition, which cost $150 and include the opening ceremony and the game between the Silver Ferns and Malawi, have not been snapped up so quickly.
It is a similar story for day five, when only the teams ranked ninth through to 16th after round-robin will play.
However, passes for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, which are going for $25 a day, are selling well - with about 70 to 80 per cent sold.
The world championships start on November 10 with defending champions New Zealand playing the opening game.
