Vilankulos mozambique

Well, Seven Marriage proposals later and 1000 kms I am in Mozambique on the beach at Vilankulos. New Years on the beach was Marv! Champers, my arse wiggiling african dancing and fireworks! Loving it large. Moz is different to Malawi. It is more developed and industrialised whereas Malawi is an entirely subsistence based economy . The kids here also dont look so malnorished.
Before we left Malawi we went on a Village tour. It was so sad. Four out of every ten kids die from malnutrition , AIDS and Malaria and most people often do not eat more than one meal a day and there are loads of child headed households. The local school is hopelessly under-resourced- so much so that Sarah , one of the other girls, and I almost volunteered to stay and teach . That was before we realised how dangerous that would be for single girls!
If anyone is feeling wealthy or generous the community really needs clothes, school books, anything really! Here is the address-

Yesterday I went to an Island in Dhow. You would be so proud of me . Despite my abject fear of crabs I went snorkling!! Didnt see a crab until the end of the trip which resulted in me running screaming for the boat ! I later found out that hundreds of crabs were chilling on the the other side of the island!
