Caf has shifted African Championship first leg match between Malawi aka the Flames and Mozambique's Mambas from March 29 to April 6 at Civo stadium, in Lilongwe, Malawi's capital but the retrun leg remains April 12 in Maputo.
The Mambas had asked Caf for more time to prepare for the competition that will be competed by local players only with an aim of exposing them.
Football Association of Malawi(Fam) Commercial Manager and Media Officer Caspa Jangale told the local daily of The Daily Times Wednesday that they had received a letter from Cafm informing them of the new date.
" We just received a copy of the letter because it was Mozambique who wanted to have the game shifted," Jangale said.
The change in the Mozambique game means the Civo stadium will host three international matches within three weeks.
After the Mambas match the venue will host a Caf under 17 match between the flames and the Mambas on April 12 and an under 20 Caf Championship match against Burundi on April 19.
Delays in completing installation of the artificial turf at Kamuzu stadium which is the southern African country's biggest stadium has necessitated that the games take place at Civo stadium.
