A night of music, browsing and bidding to raise funds for local Project
Local organisation the Malawi Education Project are holding their 4th 'Silent' Auction on 15th May at the Full Moon in Stokes Croft, Bristol. They are also using this event as the launch of the new 'Sponsor a Box' appeal.
The Malawi Education Project is a Bristol based project that relocates educational resources that are surplus to requirements in the UK to Malawi, Southern Africa. The Project then uses these materials to develop libraries in rural primary and secondary schools, working with the community, staff and children of the schools to provide access to a wealth of learning materials.
The Project will be hosting a 'Silent' Auction, where all the bidding is done on paper instead of called out by an auctioneer, to raise funds. As well as being a great social occasion, the MEP are offering up some fantastic prizes, including Festival Tickets to one of the biggest UK events, beautiful artworks from local and Malawian artists, hampers of delicious local food, fun things to do and see and much, much more.

This Auction will also function as a launch party for our new ‘Sponsor a Box’ appeal. In a nutshell, this is a drive to find sponsors for 200 of the boxes of educational resources that will be sent in the October 2008 shipment to Malawi. For more information on sponsoring a box, email Ellen for an info pack.
The event kicks off on the 15th of May at its new home in the Full Moon Pub in Stokes Croft. It will be getting started at 7pm and the winners called out at 10pm.
